This past weekend I competed in the first round of the South African National Downhill Series, Held in Sabie, Mpumalanga.
The track was quite cool as far as South African tracks go, quite flat, so pretty physical on the lungs and legs, but it had some cool sections to separate the competition.
I am happy to walk away with 2nd place in Elite Men, as well as overall. Although I would’ve liked to start 2024 off with a win, I am happy to have this as a benchmark for the year after my shoulder injury late last year. Taking away many learnings and positives.
