Update from Luke Kirk:
This past weekend I raced the fourth national of the downhill season, this was at a new track in Karkloof KZN. This was also the first Gauteng Provincial DH.
Learning a new track was very fun on the practice days. It was very slow to get up to pace however Sunday came around and the pace popped up very quickly. Seeding came with a great ride down the track but I was more excited after seeing such a fast time and lying in second. The final was an absolute dream run but the news of a two second difference and a slower difference took all that happiness away.
I am still very very happy to come home with a fourth in juniors consistency is something I have managed to do this season. On another high note I won the first GP DH with a decent time gap.
I am unbelievably proud to be representing the best of the best.
Kind regards
Luke
